3 (More) Reasons to Participate in #FAILweek

Next Monday (February 1st) bloggers and entrepreneurs all across the web will come together to celebrate (yes celebrate) failure.  As Tt(h)B reached out to potential contributors, the animosoty towards 'Failure' was troubling. It is important to note here that the definition of failure being celebrated is quite simply: Learning from an experience where an outcome does not turn out successful.  Yes you can tweak you plans and try again and succeed, but that does not mean that your initial idea was not a failure.  It was... accept it, get over it, and move on.

An attempt to explain how failure can be a positive thing was posted last week. Click here to see the full post, and a lengthy discussion that emerged from it in the comments below the post.

Still not convinced that you should to participate in #FAILweek next week?  Here are 3 (more) Reasons to contribute:

  1. Credibility: A quote by George Bernard Shaw reads: My reputation grows with every failure.  By admitting to, embracing, and sharing past failures you earn one thing that money can't (directly) buy: experience.
  2. Rise Above the "Gurus"- Everyone seems to be claiming themselves to be an expert of something these days.  Stand above the crowd and prove that you have taken action.  Your 1 shared failure is worth exactly 12x more than 50 posts on empty, hollow, untested advice. (More on this topic soon.)
  3. Stop Being Ignored- Yes, you may be critisized for failing, but that is 354% better than being ignored all together.  The saying "Any Press is Good Press" is a saying for a reason.

We already have comittments from dozens of truly unique blogging entrepreneurs, but we need your help!  Failure is not a bad thing.  The only reason you are who and where you are today is because of how you learned from, and adapted to, your failures.
