The Face Behind ‘Think Here’

Published on February 19, 2011, by in updates.

Hello there. My name is Jason Markow. For a long time this site has maintained an all around faceless image (by design,) but that changes today.

I have made a few changes to the site. Most notably of which can be seen in the about section, and the (re-)introduction of the photo section.

Why have I made these changes? Because I expect more from this site and I think you should too. I want to spark more engaging debates and discussions. I’m hopping off the soapbox and jumping into the crowd. By making myself more visible and easily accessible I hope it kick starts those actions.

Will you join me here? Let me know!

Think on.

Update: Tom, Thanks for the edit.

  1. Dig it! I always love when any blog/site shows me the person(s) that are crafting it. The internet can allow anyone to be entirely anonymous–so I appreciate when people are open and want to connect, person-to-person, in what can sometimes be a sea of faceless, anonymous 1s and 0s. :)

    • Early on I detached myself from the information I was posting because I wanted my posts to speak for themselves. (Whatever the hell that means.) The flip side that I did not consider was how crafting posts into glorified sound bites did absolutely nothing to help interaction and engagement.

I want debate. I want disagreement. I don’t think we can grow unless we are challenged to do so. And with that, I thank you for dropping by and taking the time to leave a comment. I look forward to seeing you weigh in with your point of view on here when the posts are compelling enough. ;)

  2. I don’t know how much debate you’ll get from me Jason….I usually agree with everything you say or have my mind blown so that I have an entirely new way of thinking! Either way, I’m glad you put your *self* on here. Until we next speak face-to-face, we can speak blog-to-blog.
